As farmers and florists we communicate constantly through color.

The gardening world is strongly influenced by trends and fashions in the world of floral design for events and weddings, so one of the most important things to consider when working in the flower market are color trends.

But who decides the color trends in the 21st century?
The most famous and recognized worldwide is the American Pantone® Inc.
The story is interesting: founded in 1956, it produced color guides for the cosmetic sector.
At that time, the color system was not standardized and everything depended on the art of the printer.
Six years later, in 1962, Lawrence Herbert, a chemist who worked in the company, acquired the brand and created the first unique 1144 standard color identification system known as PMS Pantone Matching System.

This system, which has become the international standard, is not based on the CMYK system (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) but on 13 basic colors plus black, each color identified by a unique code. Each year Pantone® Inc launches its color palette of the year, like other major color industries such as Farrow & Ball, Benjamin Moore e Behr.

We have chosen 9 Pantone 2020 colors and for each color we have built a palette of 10 varieties of seasonal flowers that we successfully grow in our garden, each flower that we have entered is identified with a vulgar and Latin name and with a letter indicating the seasonality: Sp (spring), S (summer), A (autumn)
